DTC P0071-24: Ambient Air Temperature Sensor Circuit, A, Range/Performance - Signal stuck high: Action

- Vehicle Conditions to enable DTC
Logging Strategy
- Start engine and allow to idle for 10 seconds following an engine off period greater than 8 hours
- Prioritized Checks to Perform
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment check datalogger signal
- Ambient Air Temperature (0xF446)
- Inspect connectors for signs of water ingress, and pins for damage and/or corrosion
- Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the ambient air temperature sensor circuit for
- Short circuit to ground
- Short circuit to power
- Open circuit
- High resistance (greater than 20 ohms)
- Install new ambient air temperature sensor, only when diagnosed as failed
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, clear all stored Diagnostic Trouble Code(s) and retest
