Pinpoint Test H: Pcm Diagnostic Trouble Code Repair Actions P2B84 Pump Stall
- H1: PCM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE REPAIR ACTIONS P2B84 PUMP STALL 1
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check for DTC
P2B84 set in the PCM
Is the coolant pump running?
Yes: If the coolant pump is running. GO to H2.
No: Intermittent fault - Check the cooling system for restrictions or blockages and bleed the system to remove any trapped air. GO to H3.
- Using the Jaguar Land Rover approved diagnostic equipment, check for DTC
P2B84 set in the PCM
Is the coolant pump running?
- H2: PCM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE REPAIR ACTIONS P2B84 PUMP STALL 2
- Check the coolant pump response against the coolant pump demand
Is the coolant flow rate correct?
Yes: Disconnect both ends of the coolant pump link harness, clean all terminals and pins, reconnect the connector and retest. GO to H3.
No: Intermittent fault - Check the cooling system for restrictions or blockages and bleed the system to remove any trapped air. GO to H3.
- Check the coolant pump response against the coolant pump demand
- H3: PCM DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE REPAIR ACTIONS P2B84 PUMP STALL 3
- Clear the DTC
s and retest
Is the coolant pump now running correctly?
Yes: If the coolant pump is running correctly, Check for other DTC s and restart the diagnostic if necessary
No: If the coolant pump is not running, install a new coolant pump as necessary
- Clear the DTC
s and retest
