Crankshaft Rear Seal (G2033435): Installation

Apply an 8 mm bead of sealant to the cylinder block in the areas shown.

CAUTION:
- Make sure that the crankshaft rear oil seal is correctly located.
- Make sure the crankshaft seal mating faces are clean and dry.

Lubricate the oil seal sleeve.
CAUTION: Make sure that the crankshaft rear oil seal is correctly located.

- Install the seal assembly.
- Slide the seal assembly to the engine block.
- Discard the seal sleeve.
CAUTION: Only tighten the bolt finger tight at this stage.

Install the bolt.
CAUTION: Only tighten the bolts finger tight at this stage.

Install the 4 bolts.
Tighten the 10 bolts.

Torque : 10 Nm
Tighten the 4 bolts.

Torque : 10 Nm
Install the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor ring.
Refer to: CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR RING
Connect the startup battery ground cable.
