Camshaft Rear Seal (G2033432): Removal

  1. Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

  2. Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.

    Refer to: LIFTING

  3. Remove and discard the fuel pump belt.

    Refer to: REAR END ACCESSORY DRIVE

    • Remove the 3 bolts.
    • Remove the front camshaft pulley.
  5. Install the special tool.

    Special Tool(s): 303-1124 

  6. Using the special tool remove the bolt.

  7. Remove the special tool.

  8. Remove the camshaft pulley hub.

  9. CAUTION: Make sure the special tool is correctly seated behind the camshaft seal. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the special tool.

    Install the special tool.

    Special Tool(s): 303-1118 

  10. CAUTION: Discard the seal.

    Using the special tool remove the camshaft rear seal.
