Right Engine Mount (G1914833): Removal

NOTE:

This procedure contains illustrations showing certain components removed to provide extra clarity.

The following step(s) applies to:

All vehicles

Remove the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING
Remove the exhaust system.
Refer to: EXHAUST SYSTEM
Remove the starter motor.
Refer to: STARTER MOTOR

The following step(s) applies to:

Right-hand drive vehicles

CAUTION: Align the steering wheel straight ahead. Do not allow the steering wheel to turn once disconnected.

Remove the steering column lower shaft and discard the bolt.

The following step(s) applies to:

All vehicles

Remove the right engine mount upper retaining nut.

Remove the 2 engine mount to subframe bolts.
CAUTION: Use a wooden block to protect the oil pan when supporting the engine.

Using a suitable hydraulic jack, raise and support the engine.

General Equipment: Trolley jack

Remove the engine mount.
