Electric Oil Pump (G1913835): Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.

- Lubricate and install the new O-ring seals.
  Renew Part: Oil pump O-ring seal Quantity: 1 .
CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the seal when installing the component.

Install the oil pump as illustrated.
CAUTION:
- Take extra care when installing the component.
- Lubricate the oil pump connector bore with clean engine oil. Do not lubricate the O-ring seal.
Install the oil pump electrical connector.
Install the wiring harness bolt.
Torque : 12 Nm
Connect the electrical connector and secure the clip.
Install the oil pump bolts.
Torque : 25 Nm
Install oil outlet bolts.
Torque : 12 Nm

- Lubricate and install a new O-ring seal.
  Renew Part: Oil pick up pipe O-ring seal Quantity: 1 .
- Install the oil pick up pipe.
Install the 2 bolts securing the oil pick up pipe to the oil pump.
Torque : 12 Nm
CAUTION: Make sure that the oil pump tensioner is correctly located against the cylinder wall.

Install the oil pump chain tensioner.

Torque : 21 Nm

Make sure that the timing chain aligns with the fuel pump camshaft as illustrated.

Using a suitable tool, compress the timing chain tensioner and install the oil pump sprocket.

Using a suitable tool, lock the oil pump sprocket.

Torque : 21 Nm

Install the lower timing chain making sure the coloured chain links align correctly with the fuel pump camshaft and crankshaft sprocket markings.
Install the oil pan.
Refer to: OIL PAN
Connect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
Fill the coolant system.
