Oil Pump Chain (G1947481): Removal

NOTE:

Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING
Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
Remove the oil pan.
Refer to: OIL PAN

Engines fitted with tensioner

Set the oil pump chain tensioner in the service position and secure with a suitable locking tool.
NOTE: Make sure a new centre bolt is installed.

Using the special tool to hold the oil pump sprocket, remove and discard the bolt.

Special Tool(s): 205-053

Torque

Stage 1: 60 Nm

Stage 2: 90°

Remove and discard the oil pump chain tensioner assembly.
