Oil Pan (G2125579): Removal

Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
Raise and support the vehicle on a suitable 2 post lift.
Refer to: LIFTING
Drain the engine oil.
Refer to: ENGINE OIL VACUUM DRAINING AND FILLING
Remove the crankshaft pulley.
Refer to: CRANKSHAFT PULLEY
Remove the front differential case.
Refer to: DIFFERENTIAL

Release the wiring harness.

Remove the wiring harness bracket.

Release the transmission oil cooler pipes.

Remove the accessory drive belt idler pulleys.

Remove the front timing cover.

Release the air conditioning compressor and reposition and secure away from the oil pan assembly.

Remove the oil level gauge.

Remove the 4 bolts securing the transmission assembly to the oil pan assembly.

Remove the Noise, Vibration and Harshness (NVH) material.

Remove the 17 oil pan bolts as illustrated.
NOTE: Loosen, but do not fully remove the bolts.

Release the remaining two oil pan bolts, but do not fully remove.

Lever between the oil pan and the engine assembly in the indicated areas to release the sealant.

- Fully remove the remaining 2 bolts.
- Remove the oil pan.
