Low Pressure Fuel Pump Assembly (G2767463): Removal

CAUTION:
Before disconnecting any components, make sure the area is clean and free from foreign material. When disconnected all openings must be sealed.
NOTE:

- Before working on the fuel system make sure to study the fuel system health and safety article of this repair information.
- Release the pressure in the fuel system.

- Disconnect the 12 V system.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
- Drain the fuel tank.
Disconnect the 2 fuel pump and sender unit electrical connectors.

WARNING: Be prepared to collect escaping fuel.
Remove the 2 fuel pump and sender unit fuel pipes.
Using the special tool release the fuel pump and sender unit retaining ring.
Special Tool(s): 310-123
Lift out the fuel pump and sender unit and disconnect the lower electrical connector.

WARNING: The spilling of fuel is unavoidable during this operation. Make sure that all necessary precautions are taken to prevent fire and explosion.
- Remove the in tank pipe from the fuel pump and sender unit.
- Remove the fuel pump and sender unit from the fuel tank.

CAUTION: A new O-ring seal is to be installed.
Remove and discard the fuel pump and sender unit O-ring seal.
