Fuel Tank (G2132467): Installation

The following step(s) applies to: 

Vehicles with fuel fired heater

1. Install the 3 fuel pipes to the 5 clips.

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles

1. Install the 2 fuel pipes to the 4 clips.
2. CAUTION: Care must be taken to avoid damaging the surrounding components.

   Position the fuel tank on a suitable stand.

3. Raise the fuel tank.
4. • Install the fuel tank.
   • Install the fuel tank mounting brackets and finger tighten the 4 nuts.
   • Tighten the 4 nuts.

     Torque  : 25 Nm 

The following step(s) applies to: 

Vehicles with fuel fired heater

1. Connect the Fuel Fired Booster Heater (FFBH) fuel return pipe.
2. Connect the 2 FFBH fuel delivery pipes.

The following step(s) applies to: 

All vehicles

1. Connect the 2 fuel delivery pipes.
2. Install the fuel tank shield and tighten the 5 nuts.
3. NOTE: If equipped.

   Install the 2 fuel tank shields and the 2 nuts.

4. • Install the clamp to the fuel filler hose.
   • Connect the fuel filler hose to the fuel tank.
   • Tighten the clamp.
5. • Install the left side undershield and the 12 bolts.
   • Install the right side undershield and the 12 bolts.
   • Install the 21 fasteners.
6. Install the driveshaft.

7. Connect the breather to the fuel tank.
8. Install the fuel pump and sensor unit.

   Refer to: LOW PRESSURE FUEL PUMP ASSEMBLY 

9. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

   Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
