Spark Plugs (G1822893): Installation

  1. NOTE: Clean all the mating faces and reusable parts thoroughly and check for damage.

    Check the spark plug gap, refer to specifications.

    Refer to: SPECIFICATIONS 

  2. CAUTION: Following installation of the spark plugs in the cylinder head visually inspect the paint mark on the terminal of the spark plug for correct orientation. The head of the T paint mark must face the fuel injector within ± 45°.

    Use the special tool to install and tighten the 6 spark plugs.

    Special Tool(s): 303-1450 

    Torque  : 22.5 Nm 

  3. Install the ignition coil-on-plugs.

    Refer to: IGNITION COIL-ON-PLUG 

  4. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
