Right Fuel Injectors (G1879935): Installation

NOTE: Repeat this step for each of the fuel injectors.

Install the 3 fuel injector retaining clamps.

Renew Part: Fuel Injector replacement kits Quantity: 3 . Part Number:
CAUTION: Make sure that new sealing washers are installed.
NOTE:
- Install new O-ring seals.
- Repeat this step for each of the fuel injectors.
- New parts are contained in the fuel injector replacement kits.

- Install fuel injector O-ring seals.
- Install a new injector sealing washer.
NOTE:
- Tighten the retaining bolts evenly and progressively.
- Repeat this step for each of the fuel injectors.
- New fuel injector clamp bolts are contained in the fuel injector replacement kits.
- If a new injector has been installed, note the injector identification number and cylinder number before installation.

Install and tighten the 2 fuel injector clamp bolts.

Torque : 9 Nm
Install the 2 remaining fuel injectors.
CAUTION: Tighten the fuel supply line unions finger tight.

NOTE: New fuel injector clamp bolts are contained in the fuel injector replacement kits.

Install 3 new HP fuel supply lines.
CAUTION: Tighten the fuel supply line clamp bolt finger tight.

Install the HP fuel supply line clamp.

- Tighten the HP fuel supply line unions at the fuel rail.
  Torque : 15 Nm
- Tighten the HP fuel supply line unions at the fuel injector.
  Torque : 15 Nm

- Tighten the HP fuel supply line unions at the fuel rail.
  Torque : 35 Nm
- Tighten the HP fuel supply line unions at the fuel injector.
  Torque : 15 Nm

Fully tighten the HP fuel supply line clamp.

Torque : 10 Nm
NOTE: Make sure that the fuel injector return line has a maximum of 8 uses.

Connect the 3 fuel injector fuel return line connectors.

- Connect the 3 electrical connectors.
- Install the 2 wiring harness clips.

Install the NVH material.
Install the EGR valve outlet tube.
Refer to: EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE OUTLET TUBE

- Install the wiring harness bracket.
- Install and tighten the 4 bolts.
  Torque : 10 Nm

Install the wiring harness cover.
Install the engine cover.
Refer to: ENGINE COVER - TDV6 3.0L DIESEL
Connect the startup battery.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
If a new injector(s) has been installed, use the Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) approved diagnostic equipment to configure the new injector(s).
