Exhaust System - V6 S/C 3.0L Petrol (G2020247): Installation

WARNING: This page is about a different variant/trim than selected.
NOTE: Only perform step 1 if the components were previously removed.
  1. Install the Heated Oxygen Sensor (HO2S). Apply anti seize compound to the threaded section of the HO2S.

    Special Tool(s): 310-121 

  2. WARNING: The components may be heavy or awkward to handle. The assistance of another technician will be required.

    Install the exhaust system.

  3. Secure the left side rear exhaust silencer.
  4. Secure the right side rear exhaust silencer.
  5. Connect the exhaust system to the right side catalytic converter.

    Torque  : 40 Nm 

  6. Connect the exhaust system to the left side catalytic converter.

    Torque  : 40 Nm 

  7. Install the cross member.

    Torque  : 25 Nm 

  8. Connect and secure the front left side HO2S wiring harness.
  9. Connect and secure the front right side HO2S wiring harness.
  10. Install the transmission heatshield.

    Torque  : 8 Nm 

  11. Connect and secure the 2 rear HO2S wiring harnesses.
  12. Install the rear HO2S heatshield

    Torque  : 8 Nm 

  13. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

  14. Start the engine and check the exhaust system for leaks.
  15. Install the engine undershield.

    Refer to: ENGINE UNDERSHIELD
