High Pressure Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION Cooler (G1947549): Installation

NOTE: This step is only required if previously removed.

Install the temperature sensor for the high pressure Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) cooler assembly.

Torque : 3.6 Nm
CAUTION: Make sure a new gasket is installed.

Install the high pressure EGR cooler assembly and tighten the bolts to the correct torque.

Renew Part: EGR cooler to cylinder block gasket Quantity: 1 .

Torque
1. 12 Nm
2. 7 Nm
Install and tighten the high pressure EGR cooler clamp.
Torque : 4 Nm
Connect the high pressure EGR cooler pipe onto the high pressure EGR valve assembly.
Torque : 12 Nm
Connect the oil gauge bracket assembly.
Torque : 7 Nm
Connect the EGR pressure monitoring system.
Connect the 3 electrical connectors for the high pressure EGR cooler.
Connect the high pressure EGR cooler inlet coolant hose.
Connect the high pressure EGR cooler outlet coolant hose.
Connect the 3 fuel pipes.
Install the coolant expansion tank.

Fill the coolant system.

Install the engine cover.
Connect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
Bleed the fuel system.
