Crankshaft Pulley (G1947457): Installation

Using the special tool install a new front crankshaft seal.

Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1628

Renew Part: Crankshaft front oil seal Quantity: 1 .

Torque : 26 Nm
CAUTION: Make sure that the component is correctly located on the dowel.

- Install the crankshaft pulley.
- Install the special tool.
  Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1630

Before installing the new crankshaft damper bolts check the length of the thread as shown in the illustration. The new bolts must be 48mm in length.

Renew Part: Crankshaft pulley bolts Quantity: 1 .
CAUTION:
- Make sure that new bolts are installed.
- Tighten bolts in a diagonal sequence.

Install the 4 crankshaft damper bolts.

Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1630

Torque

Stage 1: 37 Nm

Stage 2: 90°

Remove the special tool.

Special Tool(s): JLR-303-1630
Install the intercooler bracket and tighten the 2 front bolts to the correct torque.
Torque : 90 Nm
- Install and tighten the 2 intercooler bracket nuts.
  Torque : 12 Nm
- Install the wiring harness onto the intercooler bracket.
Connect the electrical connector secured on the charge air cooler bracket.
Install the intercooler.

Install the accessory drive belt tensioner.

Connect the startup battery ground cable.
