Crankshaft Position Sensor Ring (G1888613): Installation

  1. CAUTION: Make sure that the mating faces are clean and free of foreign material.

    Install the 1st part of the special tool to the crankshaft.

    Special Tool(s): 303-1130 

  2. CAUTION: Make sure that the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor ring is aligned correctly with the special tool pip and that both mating surfaces are fully seated.

    Install the new CKP sensor ring to the 2nd part of the special tool.

    Special Tool(s): 303-1130 

    Renew Part: Crank position sensor ring (CKP) Quantity: 1  .

    Using the special tools, install the CKP sensor ring to the crankshaft.

  4. Remove the special tools.
  5. CAUTION: Make sure the CKP sensor is correctly installed into the housing. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the CKP sensor.

    Install the CKP sensor.

    Torque  : 5 Nm 

  6. Install the flexplate.

    Refer to: FLEXPLATE

  7. Connect the startup battery ground cable.

    Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
