Roof Opening Panel Blind Motor Cables (G2578202): Removal

Lower the headliner for access.
Refer to: HEADLINER
Remove the roof opening panel glass.
Refer to: ROOF OPENING PANEL GLASS
Remove the roof opening panel air deflector.
Refer to: ROOF OPENING PANEL AIR DEFLECTOR
Disconnect the startup battery ground cable.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT

- Release the 2 slide shoe clips.
- Release the roof blind from the 2 cable plates.
CAUTION:
- The roof blind is under spring tension.
- Make sure the roof blind is correctly supported at all times.

Reposition the roof blind to the rear of the frame assembly, carefully rest the beam on the rear seal.

Disconnect the roof blind motor electrical connector.

- Remove the 3 bolts.
- Remove the roof blind motor.

- Remove the 4 bolts.
- Remove the 2 inner locators from the frame assembly guides.

- Use a suitable tool to push the roof blind motor cables to the front of the frame.
- Remove the 2 roof blind motor cables from the frame assembly in the direction illustrated.
