Roof Opening Panel Blind (G2059637): Removal

Disconnect the startup battery.
Refer to: STARTUP BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT
Remove the headliner.
Refer to: HEADLINER

Remove the 9 wiring harness clips.
CAUTION: Take extra care not to damage the component.

NOTE: An audible noise will be heard to confirm that the opening panel shoes have been released from the drive cable.

Pull the opening panel blind beam forward to unlock the sliding shoes.
WARNING: This step requires the aid of another technician.

Remove the 6 screws.

- Pull the blind beam forward as illustrated.
- Release the opening panel blind cassette from the roof panel.
WARNING: This step requires the aid of another technician.

NOTE: Do not disassemble further if the component is removed for access only.

- Hold the opening panel blind assembly and position the blind beam out of the guide rail.
- Remove the roof opening panel blind.
CAUTION: If the correct clip is not available, make sure that a suitable hardened pin is used such as a drill bit, do not use a paperclip.

Roll the blind and insert a locking pin.
CAUTION: Note the installed position of the component(s) prior to removal.

Unlock the blind beam from casette as shown.

Remove the roof opening panel blind beam.
