Pinpoint Test D: Preliminary Tests

- D1: PRELIMINARY TEST 1
- Check that the fuel gauge indicates that there is some fuel in the fuel tank. Add fuel if necessary.
- Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, check datalogger signals - Fuel Level Sensor "pump/active/A" (0xD908) - and - Fuel Level Sensor "eject/passive/B" (0xD907).
Are both datalogger signals between 0.25 V and 3.20 V?
- Yes : GO to D2.
- No : GO to Pinpoint Test A .
- D2: PRELIMINARY TEST 2
- Using the manufacturer approved diagnostic system, check datalogger signals - Fuel Level Sensor "pump/active/A" (0xD908) - and - Fuel Level Sensor "eject/passive/B" (0xD907).
Is the passive fuel level value greater than the active fuel level value?
- Yes : GO to D3.
- No : GO to Pinpoint Test E .
- D3: PRELIMINARY TEST 3
- Check the integrity of the crossover pipe.
Is there a fault with the crossover pipe?
- Yes : Repair as necessary.
- No : GO to Pinpoint Test C .
