Component Inspection: Notes

  1. Ignition "OFF".
  2. Shift lever position "P" and Ignition "ON".
  3. Connect KDS/GDS and select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode.
  4. Using a KDS/GDS, clear DTC.
  5. Operate the vehicle within DTC detecting condition in general information. (turn right and left at least 1 time)
  6. Select "Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC)" mode again.
  7. Is the same DTC stored in the system?

    Good 

    • Fault is intermittent caused by poor contact in the sensor's and/or MFSW's connector or was repaired and MFSW memory was not cleared. Thoroughly check connectors for looseness, poor connection, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, or damage.
    • Repair or replace as necessary and Go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.

    No Good 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If no problems were found with the circuits or connectors, replace the - and Go to "Verification Of Repair " procedure.

If necessary, replace the MFSW and perform the "Vehicle S/W Management " procedure.
