Repair Procedures: Replacement

CAUTION:

When removing with a flat-tip screwdriver or remover, wrap protective tape around the tools to prevent damage to components.
Use a plastic panel removal tool to remove interior trim pieces without marring the surface.
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
Put on gloves to prevent hand injuries.

Using a remover and remove the crash pad under cover (A).

Remove the floor console assembly.

Remove the cowl side trim.
(Refer to " Replacement ")
Remove the glove box.
(Refer to " Replacement ")
Remove the crash pad lower panel.
(Refer to " Replacement ")
Remove the crash pad garnish.
(Refer to " Replacement ")
Remove the heater and A/C control unit.
(Refer to " Replacement ")

After loosening the mounting screws, remove the center air vent garnish (A).

Disconnect the start switch connector (A) hazard switch connector (B).

After loosening the mounting bolt and nuts, screws, remove the crash pad center panel (A).

Install in the reverse order of removal.
Information
- Make sure connectors are connected properly and each rod is connected securely.
- Replace any damaged clips (or pin-type retainers).
