Squib Circuit Inspection

  1. Ignition switch "OFF".
  2. Disconnect battery (-) cable and wait at least for one minute.
  3. Remove the side airbag front-driver and connect the dummy and dummy adaptor to side airbag front-driver harness connector.
    CAUTION: If dummy and dummy adaptor are not able to be prepared, use a 2Ω resistor.
  4. Connect battery (-) cable and turn the ignition switch "ON" and wait for 30 sec.
  5. Connect KDS to Data Link Connector (DLC) and clear DTC with KDS and run the diagnostics again.
  6. Has any DTCs stored in the system?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If problem still occurs, replace Side Airbag Front-Driver and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
