CAN resistor inspection

  1. Ignition OFF.
  2. Disconnect Battery (-) terminal.
  3. Disconnect ECM and Cluster connectors.
  4. Measure resistance between Pin No. 63 (C-CAN Low) and Pin No. 85 (C-CAN High) terminal of ECM.
  5. Measure resistance between Pin No. 33 (C-CAN Low) and Pin No. 32 (C-CAN High) terminal of Cluster.

    Specification:  About 120Ω

  6. Is measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO 

    • Carefully re-do this troubleshooting guide steps.
    • If problem still occurs, replace ECM/PCM or Cluster whichever has defected resistor and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.
