Short in CAN Communication Line Inspection

  1. Ignition "ON".
  2. Measure voltage between Pin No. 26 (CAN High) terminal of ESP and chassis ground.
  3. Measure voltage between Pin No. 14 (CAN Low) terminal of ESP and chassis ground.

    Specification:  CAN High Voltage - Approx. 3.28V/CAN Low Voltage - Approx. 1.87V

  4. Ignition "Off"
  5. Disconnect TCM and ECM/PCM connectors.
  6. Measure resistance between Pin No. 44 (CAN High) terminal of TCM and Pin No. 26 (CAN High) terminal of ABS.
  7. Measure resistance between Pin No. 45 (CAN Low) terminal of TCM and Pin No. 14 (CAN Low) terminal of ABS.

    Specification:  Approx. 0Ω

  8. Is measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO
