Control Circuit Inspection
■ Check short to ground in harness
- Ignition "OFF"
- Disconnect LH/RH EPB actuator connector.
- Measure the resistance between Pin No. 2 (Motor +) terminal of EPB Actuator harness connector and chassis ground.
- Measure the resistance between Pin No. 1 (Motor -) terminal of EPB Actuator harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : Infinite Ω
■ Check short to battery in harness
- Ignition "OFF"
- Disconnect LH/RH EPB actuator and HECU connector.
- Measure the voltage between Pin No. 2 (Motor +) terminal of EPB Actuator harness connector and chassis ground.
- Measure the voltage between Pin No. 1 (Motor -) terminal of EPB Actuator harness connector and chassis ground.
Specification : 0 V
■ Check for open in harness
- Ignition "OFF"
- Disconnect LH/RH EPB actuator and HECU connector.
- Measure the resistance between Pin No. 2 (Motor +) terminal of LH EPB Actuator harness connector and Pin No. 13 (LH Motor +) terminal of HECU harness connector.
- Measure the resistance between Pin No. 1 (Motor -) terminal of LH EPB Actuator harness connector and Pin No. 12 (LH Motor -) terminal of HECU harness connector.
- Measure the resistance between Pin No. 2 (Motor +) terminal of RH EPB Actuator harness connector and Pin No. 2 (RH Motor +) terminal of HECU harness connector.
- Measure the resistance between Pin No. 1 (Motor -) terminal of RH EPB Actuator harness connector and Pin No. 3 (RH Motor -) terminal of HECU harness connector.
Specification : Approx. 1Ω
- Is measured within specification?
YES
- Go to "Component Inspection " procedure.
NO
- Repair open or short in control circuit of EPB Actuator harness connector and then go to "Verification of Vehicle Repair " procedure.
