Component Inspection

■ Perform RCVS Actuation Test 

  1. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  2. Ignition "ON" & ENG "OFF"
  3. Perform "ACTUATION TEST " for RCVS.

■ RCVS Resistance Check 

  1. Ignition "OFF"
  2. Disconnect RCVS connector.
  3. Measure resistance between Pin No. 1 (Power) terminal and Pin No. 2 (Control) terminal of the RCVS. (Component Side)

    Specification:  Approx. 28.3 ~ 31.1 Ω (20°C (68°F)

  4. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    • Go to next procedure.

    NO 

■ Turbo Charger Boost Sensor (PUT) Inspection 

  1. Ignition "OFF"
  2. Connect KDS/GDS to Data Link Connector (DLC).
  3. Ignition "ON" & Engine "ON"
  4. Monitor following parameters in "Current Data  " with KDS/GDS.

    Specification:  Refer to Figure below

  5. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    • Fault might be intermittent and caused either by poor contact in connectors or wiring harness, or it has been repaired and control module memory is not cleared yet. Thoroughly check terminal of battery, all connectors (and connections) for looseness, bending, corrosion, contamination, deterioration, and/or damage.
    • Repair or replace as necessary and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure.

    NO
