CAN Communication Line Inspection

  1. Ignition "OFF"
  2. Disconnect battery (-) cable.
  3. Refer to "ECU REMOVAL (1.6L) and TCM REMOVAL " and disconnect ECM and TCM connector.
  4. Measure the resistance between Pin No. 85 (C-CAN High) terminal of ECM harness connector and Pin No. 44 (C-CAN High) terminal of TCM harness connector.
  5. Measure the resistance between Pin No. 63 (C-CAN Low) terminal of ECM harness connector and Pin No. 45 (C-CAN Low) terminal of TCM harness connector.

    Specification:  Approx. below 1 Ω

  6. Is the measured value within specification?

    YES 

    NO
