Component Inspection: Notes
- With Ignition ON & Engine OFF, clear the DTC using the scantool.
- Ignition "OFF".
- Disconnect the battery (-) terminal cable from the battery, and wait at least one minutes.
- Disconnect WCS sensor connector.
- Substitute the WCS sensor or WCS Module and check for proper operation.
- Is DTC present?
YES
- Substitute a known-good SRSCM, and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace SRSCM and then go to "VERIFICATION OF VEHICLE REPAIR " procedure and go to "WCS RESET " procedure.
NO
- Substitute a known-good WCS Sensor or known-good seat assembly or WCS Module, and check for proper operation. If the problem is corrected, replace WCS Sensor or seat assembly and go to "WCS RESET " procedure.
