Diagnostic Test
CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE CONDITION
On vehicles equipped with the high voltage system, you must thoroughly read and follow all High Voltage Safety procedures. In addition, before performing any diagnostic or service procedure near a high voltage component, you must perform the High Voltage Power Down. Failure to follow these instructions may result in possible serious or fatal injury.
Read the HIGH-VOLTAGE SAFETY PROCEDURES. Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE SAFETY PROCEDURES .
When the HIGH-VOLTAGE POWER-DOWN PROCEDURE is necessary. Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE POWER DOWN .
- Repair all damage to the vehicle from the impact event.NOTE:
If this DTC is active, verify that the Occupant restraint Controller (ORC) and the Battery Pack Control Module (BPCM) are active on the CAN Bus before proceeding. A non-responsive BPCM or ORC will set this DTC.
Has all the vehicle impact damage been repaired?
Yes
- With the scan tool, perform the "Reset Impact Event Fault" routine in the BPCM and perform the BATTERY PACK CONTROL MODULE (BPCM) VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to HV VERIFICATION TEST . If the DTC returns, check the Air Bag Deployment Signal circuit for opens or shorts. If ok, load test all powers and grounds to the BPCM, repair as necessary and retest. If all powers and grounds load test ok, replace the Primary and Secondary High Voltage Battery Packs in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to HIGH VOLTAGE BATTERY, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
