Right Catalytic Converter: Notes

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the front and side belly pans. Refer to FRONT BELLY PAN and SIDE BELLY PAN .
2. Saturate the bolts and with Mopar® Rust Inhibitor. Allow 5 minutes for penetration.
3. Remove the impact bracket inner bolts, outer bolts, and the impact bracket.

4. Remove the left catalytic convertor to exhaust manifold bolts.

5. Loosen the right exhaust muffler clamp nut.

   4 - Exhaust Isolator Bolt

6. Remove the exhaust isolator bolts and lower the resonator.
7. Disconnect the oxygen sensor wire harness connectors.
8. Remove the right catalytic convertor to exhaust manifold bolts and the right catalytic converter.

9. If necessary, remove the oxygen sensors.

INSTALLATION 

Follow the removal procedure in reverse for general reassembly of the components on the vehicle. The steps listed below are calling out specific procedures that should be followed during installation.

• Check the exhaust system for contact with the body panels. A minimum of 25.4 mm (1.0 in.) is required between the exhaust system components and body/frame parts. Make the necessary adjustments, if needed.
• Start the engine and inspect for exhaust leaks. Repair exhaust leaks as necessary.
