Belt, Serpentine: Installation

  1. Install the serpentine belt (1) over all of the pulleys except the idler pulley.
  2. Rotate the belt tensioner (2) clockwise and install the serpentine belt (1) on the idler pulley.
  3. Slowly release the belt tensioner (2).
  4. Visually inspect the serpentine belt to pulley alignment.
  5. Install the air cleaner body and clean air hose. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, INSTALLATION .
  6. Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, INSTALLATION .
