Body, Air Cleaner: Installation

  1. If removed, install the Intake Air Temperature (IAT) sensor to the air cleaner body. Refer to SENSOR, AIR TEMPERATURE, INLET, INSTALLATION .

  2. Align the air cleaner body to the intake air tube and engage the three mounting posts (1).

  3. Connect the fuel vapor purge hose quick coupling (4) to the air cleaner body cover.
  4. Connect the boost vacuum hose quick coupling (3) to the air cleaner body cover.
  5. Connect and lock the wire harness connector to the IAT sensor (2).
  6. Engage the two wire harness retainers (1) to the air cleaner body.
  7. Install the clean air hose. Refer to HOSE, CLEAN AIR, INSTALLATION .
  8. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
