Tube, Exhaust Gas RECIRCULATION (EGR): Removal

  1. Remove upstream oxygen sensor. Refer to 2.0L SENSOR, OXYGEN, REMOVAL or 2.4L SENSOR, OXYGEN, REMOVAL .
  2. Remove the catalytic converter heat shield. Refer to 2.0L CONVERTER, CATALYTIC, REMOVAL or 2.4L CONVERTER, CATALYTIC, REMOVAL .

  3. Remove the nuts (1) securing the EGR tube to the catalytic converter.
  4. Remove the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL .

  5. Remove the bolts (1) securing the EGR tube to the EGR cooler.
  6. Remove the EGR tube from the vehicle.
