Exhaust Manifold Heat Shield

  1. Install a NEW  exhaust manifold heat shield assembly (1) and tighten the bolts (2) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
  2. Install the turbocharger. Refer to TURBOCHARGER, INSTALLATION .
  3. If removed, install the oil filter and fill the engine crankcase with the proper oil to the correct level. Refer to ENGINE OIL, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  4. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
  5. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
