Separator, Oil: Removal

  1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  2. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  3. Drain the cooling system. Refer to COOLING SYSTEM, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  4. Remove the intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL .

  5. Disengage the four engine wiring retaining clips (1).

  6. Remove and discard the bolts (2) and remove the engine oil vapor separator (1).

  7. Remove the gasket (2) from the engine oil vapor separator (1).
