- A failure is detected if the calibration data stored in two different locations of the Random Access Memory (RAM) has changed at only one location.
- A failure is detected if the initially determined transmission range (P, R, N or D) after Transmission Control Module (TCM) initialization which is determined with two different methods has unequal results.
- A failure is detected if the calculated transmission range stored in the buffer does not match the current transmission position.
