The Powertrain Control Module (PCM) detects that the engine has been operated for an extended period of time with critical Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) faults active, and no repair action has been taken. This amount of time will vary, depending on which SCR faults are active. These other SCR faults can cause the inducement counter to initiate.
