The fuel system of a diesel engine is incredibly complex and it is necessary to monitor various aspects of its operation to ensure that the system is functioning properly. The Fuel Temperature Sensor (FTS) is combined with the Fuel Heater and located in the Fuel Filter/water separator housing. The Fuel Temperature Sensor is a 2-wire sensor. These codes monitor the FTS circuit for electrical malfunctions.
