Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  .

2. Remove the fastener (1a) and the belt tensioner (1b).

INSTALLATION

1. Position the belt tensioner (1a) and tighten the fastener (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
2. Visually inspect the serpentine belt to pulley alignment.
3. Install the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  .
4. Start the engine and allow to run at idle momentarily. Shut the engine off and reinspect the belt alignment.
