Timing Chain TENSIONER Arm

REMOVAL 

1. Remove the timing chain cover. Refer to COVER(S), ENGINE TIMING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  .

2. Push on the tensioner arm (1a) and insert a pin (1b) through the hole (1c) to hold the tensioner piston in the retracted position.
3. Remove the bolt (2a) and remove the timing chain tensioner arm (1a).

INSTALLATION 

1. Install the timing chain tensioner arm and tighten the timing chain tensioner arm bolt to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
2. Hold the tensioner arm against the tensioner piston, remove the lock pin and release the tensioner arm.
3. Install the timing chain cover. Refer to COVER(S), ENGINE TIMING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION  .
