Removal And Installation

REMOVAL 

1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
2. Remove the engine belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
3. Remove the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

4. Remove the bolt (1) securing the steering column to the pinion steering box and remove the column.

5. Remove the right and left pedestrian impact crossmember bolts (1).

6. Remove the bolts and the reinforcement bracket (1) on both sides.
7. Remove the bolts and both lower load beams (2).

8. Holding the stabilizer bar link stem, remove the nut (1) from both the right and left stabilizer bar links.

9. Remove the rear bracket bolts (1) securing the exhaust pipe to the support.
10. Remove the nut (2) and loosen the clamp connecting pipes.

11. Remove the front bracket bolts (1) securing the exhaust pipe to the support.

12. Loosen the exhaust pipe clamp nuts (1a) and separate the exhaust pipe (1b) from the catalytic converter.
13. Remove the gasket.

14. Remove the rear engine mount to transmission bracket bolt (1).

15. Place a suitable hydraulic lift under the front suspension crossmember.
16. Remove the front suspension crossmember bolts (1).

17. Remove the front suspension crossmember bolts (1) from the left and right sides.

18. Lower the front suspension crossmember and remove the exhaust pipe with front flex pipe (1) from the front muffler.
19. Remove the metal gasket (2).

INSTALLATION 

1. Install the exhaust pipe with front flex pipe and connect it to the front muffler.

2. Position the front suspension crossmember, install the left and right mounting bolts (1) and tighten it to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

3. Install the front suspension crossmember bolts (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
4. Remove the hydraulic lift.

5. Install the rear engine mount to transmission bracket bolt (1) and tighten it to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .

6. Install a NEW  gasket and the exhaust pipe to the catalytic converter. Tighten the NEW  nuts (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

7. Install the front exhaust pipe support bracket bolts (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .

8. Install the exhaust pipe clamp bolt (2) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
9. Install the exhaust pipe rear bracket bolts (1) and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
10. Install the right and left stabilizer bar nuts and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

11. Install the right and left lower load beams (1a) and tighten the bolts (1b) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
12. Install the right and left reinforcement brackets and tighten the bolts (2) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

13. Install the pedestrian impact crossmember and tighten the bolts (1) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .

14. Install the steering column, and a NEW  bolt and tighten to the proper torque specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
15. Install the front fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
16. Install the engine belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
17. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
