Battery Disconnect And Connect

DISCONNECT 

  1. Remove the rear heat floor duct. Refer to DUCT, FLOOR DISTRIBUTION, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

  2. Disconnect the Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS) wire harness connector (2).
  3. Remove the ground terminal nut (3) and isolate the auxiliary battery cable (4) and set aside.
  4. Press and release the negative cable (1).

CONNECT

  1. Press the negative cable onto the IBS stud.
  2. Install the auxiliary ground wire (4) and tighten the nut (3) to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Connect the IBS wire harness connector.
  4. Install the rear heat floor duct. Refer to DUCT, FLOOR DISTRIBUTION, REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
