This diagnostic runs continuously when the following conditions are met:

Shifter is in the DRIVE or REVERSE position.
Transmission oil temperature is greater than a calibrated value.
No clutch slip control functions commanded.
No Input Speed Sensor signal Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) set.
Input Speed Sensor signal is greater than a calibrated value.
Output Speed Sensor signal is valid or the output speed can be calculated from the wheel speed Controller Area Network (CAN) signal if the Output Speed Sensor signal is not available.
Engine speed signal via CAN or output speed signal is greater than a calibrated value.
A shift from Fifth gear to another gear to be engaged is in progress.
The output speed and the output speed gradient must be greater than a calibrated value.
