Engine Block Heater

REMOVAL 

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
  2. Remove the starter. Refer to STARTER [EZH], REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .

    1 - Engine Block Heater
    2 - Power Cord
    3 - Engine Block Heater Bolt
  3. Disconnect the power cord from the engine block heater.
  4. Remove the engine block heater bolt and the engine block heater.

INSTALLATION 

  1. Thoroughly clean the engine block heater core hole and the engine block heater seat.
  2. Install and fully seat the engine block heater. Tighten the engine block heater bolt to the proper torque specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Connect the power cord to the engine block heater.
  4. Install the starter. Refer to STARTER [EZH], REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable(s). Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT AND CONNECT .
