Molding, Outer Belt: Removal
- Lower the door glass fully.
- Remove the mirror. Refer to MIRROR, OUTSIDE REARVIEW, REMOVAL .
- Separate the rear of the glass run weatherstrip (1) from the door window frame and position aside.
- Using special tool (special tool #9093, Remover, Belt Moldings) (1) between belt molding and glass, push down on outer belt molding (2) and rotate upper part of tool outward from vehicle approximately 6 - 8 cm (2.5 - 3 in.), then lift up on molding to disengage from locking tabs.
- Remove the belt molding (1) from the glass opening flange (2).
