Removal And Installation: Removal

- Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
- Remove the front bumper fascia. Refer to FASCIA, FRONT, REMOVAL

- Remove the nut (1a) and the air cleaner inlet tube (1b).
- Remove the bolts (1a), the nuts (1b) and the front bumper reinforcement (1c).
- Remove the bolts (1a), release the side retainers (1b) and remove the radiator air deflector (1c).NOTE:
Plug and seal the ends of the transmission cooler and the transmission cooler lines to prevent the leakage of oil, and to prevent moisture, contaminants and impurities from entering into the system.
NOTE:Clean any transmission fluid that may leak out during the removal process.
- Install Special Tool 8875A or equivalent over the quick connect fitting and disconnect the transmission oil cooler line (1b) from the transmission cooler (1c).
Remove the retaining clips (1a) and the transmission cooler lines (1b) from the transmission cooler (1c).
- Release the retainers (1a) and remove the transmission oil cooler (1b).
