Water Pump Body: Installation

- If removed, install a NEW
gasket (1) onto the water pump.
- If removed, install the water pump. Tighten the bolts (1) in a crisscross pattern to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

- Using a NEW gasket, install the water pump body (1a). Tighten the bolts (1b) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the nuts (2) securing the coolant tube to the water pump body (1b) and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS

- Install the water pump pulley (1a). Tighten the bolts (1b) to the proper specification. Refer to TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the serpentine belt. Refer to BELT, SERPENTINE, INSTALLATION .
- Install the intake manifold. Refer to MANIFOLD, INTAKE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the air cleaner body. Refer to BODY, AIR CLEANER, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the right front wheelhouse splash shield. Refer to SHIELD, SPLASH, FRONT WHEELHOUSE, INSTALLATION .
- Fill the cooling system. Refer to DRAINING AND FILLING THE COOLING SYSTEM - 2.4L .
- Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
- Run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature. Check the cooling system for correct fluid level or leaks. Refer to ADDING ADDITIONAL COOLANT .
- Install the engine cover. Refer to COVER, ENGINE, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
