Removal And Installation: 4X2: Installation

- Position the rear knuckle to the front and rear lower control arms and the rear trailing link. Install the bolts (1, 2, 3), but DO NOT TIGHTEN AT THIS TIME.
- Position a support jack under the rear knuckle.
- Using the support jack, position the rear knuckle (1) to the proper specification. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS

- Tighten the NEW front lower control arm bolt (1) to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Tighten the rear lower control arm bolt (2) to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Tighten the rear trailing link bolt (3) to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Position the support jack until the rear knuckle and rear strut lower mounting holes are aligned. Install the rear strut lower bolts (1).
- Tighten the rear strut lower bolts (1) to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the rear hub and bearing assembly. Refer to HUB AND BEARING, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Align the brake rotor shield to the rear knuckle.
- Install the brake rotor shield bolts and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support jack and lower the vehicle.
- Perform a wheel alignment. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
