Removal And Installation: 2.4L: Installation

- Position the starter and install the upper starter retaining bolt (1). Tighten the bolt to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Position the gear selector cable retaining bracket (2), then install and securely tighten the bracket bolt (2).
- Install the lower starter bolt (1) and tighten the bolt to the proper specification. Refer to TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Position the B+ electrical connection to the starter, then install and securely tighten the nut (3).
- Connect the starter wire harness connector (2).
- If equipped with Front Wheel Drive (FWD), install the intermediate shaft. Refer to FRONT, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION and REAR, REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- If equipped with All Wheel Drive (AWD), install the Power Transfer Unit (PTU). Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
- Install the belly pan. Refer to BELLY PAN, INSTALLATION .
- Install the battery tray and battery. Refer to TRAY, BATTERY, INSTALLATION .
