Removal And Installation: Installation

- If removed, compress the strut spring in the compressor and install the spring.
- Assemble the strut with the upper and lower spring isolators, boot, and the jounce bumper.
- Position the upper strut mount (1a) onto the spring, install and tighten the strut rod to strut mount nut (1b) by using (special tool #2027800020, Kit, Remover - Installer Shock / Strut) to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Position the strut into the vehicle and install and tighten the strut to body bolts (1) to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Raise the vehicle.
- Position the lower strut mount on the knuckle.
- Install the strut to knuckle bolts and nuts (1), and tighten to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the wheel speed sensor wire harness (2) to the strut.
- Install the brake hose (3) to the strut and install the retaining clip (3).
- Install the stabilizer bar link (1a) to the strut and tighten the stabilizer bar link to strut nut (1b) to the proper specification. Refer to FRONT, TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS .
- Install the front wiper cowl. Refer to COVER, COWL PANEL, INSTALLATION .
- Install the tire and wheel assembly. Refer to INSTALLATION .
- Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
- Perform a front end alignment. Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
